This paper explores the risk sex workers face of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. While public health messages provide information and skills for negotiating safer sex, yet these are not always realistic for women who earn a living from sex. Conventional health services often present barriers to sex workers seeking sexual and reproductive health care and treatment.
