This report analyses the major Zimbabwean AIDS policies for their take on gender equity and equality. The policy documents it outlines and analyses are: the National HIV/AIDS policy, the National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe Act and the National AIDS Trust Fund.
The paper explores issues around gender and HIV/AIDS and uses that exploration as its basis for the consideration of Zimbabwe's AIDS policies. It outlines what the authors consider top be gender imbalances in those policies and makes recommendations for addressing them.
